Jutta Leerdam is a Dutch speed skater who was born on December 30, 1998, in 's-Gravenzande, Netherlands. She is one of the most promising speed skaters of her generation and has already achieved significant success at a young age.
Jutta started her speed skating career at the age of six when her parents took her to local skating competitions. She instantly fell in love with the sport and started training hard to improve her performance. Her talent did not go unnoticed, and soon she was accepted into the Dutch national speed skating team's talent program.
In 2017, Jutta participated in the Junior World Championships, where she won a gold medal in the team pursuit. The same year, she also won the Dutch Junior Allround Championships. In 2018, Jutta was selected for the Dutch national speed skating team and made her senior debut at the Dutch Championships, where she finished in fifth place.
In 2019, Jutta won her first international senior medal, a bronze in the 1000m at the World Allround Championships. Later that year, she won two gold medals at the World Cup in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, in the 1000m and the team pursuit.
In 2020, Jutta won her first individual World Cup gold medal in the 1000m event in Nagano, Japan. She also won a silver medal in the team sprint event at the World Championships in Salt Lake City.
Jutta's success continued in the 2020-21 season as she won the European Speed Skating Championships in Heerenveen, the Netherlands, in both the 1000m and 1500m events. She also won the Dutch Championships in the 500m, 1000m, and 1500m events, securing her place as the best all-round female speed skater in the country.
Jutta's dedication, hard work, and talent have made her one of the most promising speed skaters of her generation. She continues to improve her performance with each competition and is determined to become one of the best speed skaters in the world.
